QUICKSTART

Run Quickstart only on your own machine.
One workspace, many tools

Build Kometa configs and keep ImageMaid settings per config.

Quickstart is a local workspace for Kometa and ImageMaid. Each config profile can keep its own wizard progress, generated Kometa YAML, and ImageMaid settings.

Use separate config names for production, testing, or cleanup workflows when the ImageMaid mode, Plex path, or optional actions need to differ.

Before you begin
Quickstart runs locally and keeps your data on this machine.
Minimum inputs for the Kometa workflow: Plex URL, Plex token, and a TMDb API key.
Use the left sidebar as your workspace map. Required steps stay grouped near the top, optional integrations and review pages follow underneath.
You can jump directly between sections at any time, and the active config profile on this page is the profile the sidebar pages will read and update.
Review the config profile section below, choose or create the profile you want to work in, then move into Plex/TMDb setup or open ImageMaid directly.

Setup needed

Save a valid Kometa install ownership choice and finish required setup before this workflow is ready.

Kometa install ownership
Choose whether this config uses a Quickstart-managed Kometa, an existing direct install visible from this environment, or an external/containerized Kometa where Quickstart can only reach config and optional logs.
Quickstart-managed gives the clearest support model and full Quickstart-run guardrails. Existing direct install avoids duplicate installs, lets Quickstart validate and launch that install, but Quickstart will not update it for you. External mode is best for containers/NAS/remote setups, but Quickstart cannot directly launch, update, or fully orchestrate that runtime.
Choose the Kometa root folder. Quickstart can only use installs it can see from this environment.
Use this for Docker/NAS/remote setups where Quickstart can reach the config directory but not the Kometa runtime itself.
If accessible, Quickstart can still use built-in log views and logscan against this path.
External mode tradeoffs: Quickstart cannot directly launch or update Kometa, analytics attribution is limited, maintenance-window guardrails and resume markers only apply when runs are launched from Quickstart, and log tools only work if the log path is accessible.
Active path: /config/kometa
Active config path: /config/kometa/config
Active log path: /config/kometa/config/logs
Quickstart will create and manage its own Kometa install under this workspace.
ImageMaid workflow
Setup needed

ImageMaid settings for this config still need validation before the run page is truly ready to launch.

We strongly suggest you set up test libraries if this is your first time running Quickstart/Kometa, click here to learn more

Test libraries are already set up for this workspace. Expand this section only if you want to review paths, update the install, or remove it.

Test media libraries not found. We recommend setting them up for testing with Kometa. Be patient as the repository is about 7GB.
